Music Export Canada Presents: Canadian Blast at Westway LAB Festival 2019
This April, CIMA will be conducting our very first Business and Showcase Mission to Westway LAB Festival in Guimaraes, Portugal. This year the festival & conference will dedicate a Country Focus programme to Canada which will include a Canadian showcase as well as Canadian focused panels during the conference.
CIMA will be hosting a Canadian Blast showcase on April 12 at the Centro Cultural Vila Flor (Av. Dom Afonso Henriques 701, 4810-431 Guimarães, Portugal) for a full evening of great Canadian music kicking off at 9:30PM! The five showcasing artists will get the opportunity to perform in front of industry professionals from across Portugal as well as international delegates. Prior to the showcase there will be a Country Focus Reception at Ducal Palace (R. Conde Dom Henrique 3, Guimarães, Portugal) at 8:00PM.
We’re excited to unveil the list of companies and artists who will be joining us in Portugal from April 9-14, 2019.
The Canadian companies joining the Music Export Canada mission will be: Acronym Records, baselineMUSIC, Bonsound, CCS Rights Management, Entertainment Music Group, Laughing Heart Music, Noisemaker Management and Six Shooter Records. Companies will get the opportunity to participate in the Westway LAB conference as well as targeted meetings with key professionals in the region, networking receptions and a full day of business events prior to the start of the festival in Porto.
