CIMA's export initiatives provide business and showcase opportunities for the Canadian independent music industry within the US, UK-Europe, Latin America, Australia, South Asia and other emerging markets.

Canada Stand at international music industry trade shows serves as home base for registered Canadian companies (Jazzahead!)

Canada House / Canadian Showcases are performances by Canadians at trade shows, festivals and conferences across the world

In-Market Missions in partnership with Canadian Embassies, these mini-tours open up new global markets, strengthening current ties, and create ‘deal-making’ opportunities for Canadian music products and artists.

Promotional Activities

To achieve the best results for each initiative, CIMA organizes and provides key promotional support.

B2B Opportunities – High-potential business networking ‘mixers’, ‘speed-networking’ and ‘round tables’ that provide direct interaction with international music business reps, and seminars featuring local market representatives.

Promo material including postcards, flyers, brochures, posters and more in promotion of showcases and export initiatives

Digital marketing including companies/performer profiles via, social media promotion, newsletters, call outs and more

Press and promotion using local PR firms to distribute press releases to media and music industry –including translation services where required

Post-event analysis following every export event, delegates are surveyed and data is gathered to track business successes and lay the foundation for continued funding and support.
