Canada House Takes Over Swan Dive at SXSW 2023
For the first time since 2019, CIMA will be back in person at SXSW for two full days of showcases at Canada House in Austin, TX! Swan Dive (615 Red River Street) will transform into all things Canadian on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 16 and will feature 23 incredible artists from across the country.
Join us before the showcases kick off at noon on both days for some delicious BBQ and the chance to mingle with the Canadians in the Texan sunshine. Both days of showcases will start after the BBQ and will run through 5:30PM.
Ontario Creates will be bringing a “Holographic Jukebox” (a.k.a ARHT Capsule) to Canada House, from Tuesday to Thursday! The Capsule will be loaded with brand new performances by AHI, Jully Black, CARYS, Jim Cuddy, Julian Taylor & DJ Skratch Bastid.
And there’s more! Ontario Creates, in partnership with ARHT, will be hosting a very special presentation Wednesday at noon: A conversation about the future of Music and Technology with SXSW’s own Hugh Forrest (Co-president and Chief Programming Officer) and an interactive, holographic performance by the incomparable U.S. Girls, LIVE from a secret location in Ontario. Mark your calendars & make your way to Canada House at noon, you definitely don’t want to miss it.
