CIMA Returns to Folk Alliance International this February
CIMA will be back at Folk Alliance International, the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community, from February 1-5, 2023 in Kansas City, MO.
This year CIMA’s official showcase will take place at Benton’s (Westin Crown Center, 20th floor) on Friday, February 3. The evening will kick off with a Meet the Canadians networking reception in partnership with the International Indigenous Music Summit, Mundial Montréal and Global Toronto at 5:00PM. Delegates will get the chance to connect with artists and industry professionals while enjoying some food, beverages & incredible views of Kansas City!
CIMA’s official showcase will feature the following artists:
6:00PM: Lynne Hanson
6:45PM: Royal Wood
7:30PM: Twin Flames
8:15PM: Angelique Francis
9:00PM: Little Misty
9:45PM: Les Rats D’Swompe
CIMA will once again be partnering with MusicOntario for the “Ontario and Friends” private showcasing room (Suite 740). These showcases will run for 3 nights beginning on Thursday, February 2 until Saturday, February 4 and will feature 21 Canadian acts.

Canadian artists and their business reps will also get the opportunity to take part in an afternoon business event on Thursday from 3:30PM-4:30PM at the Westin Crown Center. The Country Connections event, presented by CIMA, Sounds Australia and the British Underground and in partnership with Global Music Match, will give participants the chance to meet with delegates from across the globe.
