In the lead up to the fifth annual CIMA Celebration & Awards Gala on June 10th, we're proud to put a spotlight on our 2019 winners and nominees. Last but not least, we're delighted to highlight the three campaigns nominated for this year's CIMA Marketing Award!

The 2019 Marketing Award is sponsored by Distribution Select, Canada's largest independent music and video distributor.

The 2019 nominees are:

Last Gang Records for Harrison’s Apricity

Toronto’s multifaceted artist/producer/musical polymath, Harrison, returns to deliver his clearly articulated sophomore album, Apricity, The 11-track album follows his 2016 JUNO-nominated debut, Checkpoint Titanium, which was received to critical acclaim. Apricity has been praised by the likes of Exclaim!, calling it “a delight,” with The FADER highlighting the album’s “funky, feel-good, neon-pumped productions."

Arts & Crafts for Dan Mangan’s More or Less

Vancouver singer-songwriter Dan Mangan's fifth studio album, More or Less, is about witnessing birth, and in some ways rebirth. It’s about feeling disconnected from a popular identity and becoming acclimated to a new one. It’s about raising kids in a turbulent world. It’s about unanswerable questions and kindness and friendship and fear. More sparse. Less meticulous. More kids. Less time. More direct. Less metaphor. More discovery. Less youth. More warmth. Less chaos.

Endemic Marketing for Good Lovelies’ Shapeshifters

Kerri Ough, Caroline Brooks and Sue Passmore are the Good Lovelies. Shapeshifters is their fifth studio album, and their first since 2015’s Burn The Plan. With Shapeshifters, the Good Lovelies have grown and evolved into a different kind of band. The trademark sounds of the Good Lovelies are still there. Harmonies, melodies, and that touch of folk/roots music. But what has changed is their presentation. They have taken their genre and bent it a little to include more pop or rock sounds.

The Marketing Award winner will be announced at the Gala on June 10th. Good luck to the nominees!
