Halifax Pop Explosion (HPX), founded in 1993, is one of Canada’s most respected festivals & showcases for new and emerging music, arts and culture. The festival combines showcases, networking events and a music industry conference. Halifax Pop Explosion offers over 180 bands the chance to showcase in 18 venues over 4 days in front of thousands of industry reps and over 20,000 attendees.

CIMA will be returning to Halifax Pop Explosion in 2017 from October 18-22 as a proud sponsor of the Label Summit. The Label Summit is a unique round table style group discussion platform which will give delegates the opportunity to meet face to face with international delegates working with labels and marketing companies.

CIMA will also be presenting a Canadian Blast showcase on Friday, October 20 at the Seahorse Tavern (2037 Gottingen St) where four great Canadian artists will perform.
