CIMA Holds First-Ever Mission to SXSW Sydney this October

CIMA will be travelling to Sydney, Australia this month for our inaugural showcase and business mission to SXSW Sydney from October 14-20. The event, which is the gateway to the Asia Pacific, is the ultimate hub for creators in Tech, Gaming, Screen, and Music. In attendance for this mission will be eight Canadian companies and five Canadian showcasing acts. Throughout the week, Abercrombie will be home to Canada House, and CIMA’s official showcase will take place on October 16. We’ll kick things off at noon with a Meet the Canadians networking reception, followed by performances all afternoon from 5 incredible Canadian acts. They’ll also take part in B2B meetings supported by Canada’s Vice-Consul and Trade Commissioner for Creative Industries in Sydney. On Friday, we’ll be teaming up with Sounds Australia, the British Music Embassy, Music from Ireland, and the NZ Music Commission for a Country Connections “It’s a Small World” speed meeting session.
