Roundtable Discussion: The Pain and Agony of Canceling and Rescheduling Tours
When: April 30th, 2020
Time: 1:00PM-2:00PM
Where: Zoom conference call
Registration: CIMA members only
Topic: As we near our summer months, there’s no doubt that the heartbreak of mass cancellations has developed an additional sting. Planning and executing a tour require a great deal of painstaking effort, time, and investment; seeing all of that labour evaporate in seconds is incredibly difficult to process. With no end in sight for the COVID-19 pandemic and the renewed extension of emergency orders, it’s easy to wonder, “What’s next?”.
While it’s uncertain when we’ll see a return to normalcy, it doesn’t mean that you can’t take steps to plan your next move. Join CIMA on Zoom as we host Helen Britton and Chris Wynters from Six Shooter Records on Thursday, April 30th at 1 PM (EST) for a roundtable session exploring the pain and agony of cancelling and rescheduling tours. The conversation will provide an open-ended forum for our members to discuss strategies related to tour cancellations, when to re-book, and how others adapting to this major blow to the live music industry. – there will only be enough space for 25 participants!
