The Canada & Québec Jazz Delegation and the Centre national de la musique invite delegates who are registered with the Canada & Québec Jazz Booth to an informal networking event in preparation for Jazzahead! 2022. This is an opportunity to get to know each other and put faces to names in small networking groups.
The Canada-France Café-Apéro will take place on March 3, 2022 at 11am EST / 5pm CET. To participate, please complete the mandatory registration form before February 25.
Most participants will speak French and English, so everyone is welcome.
The Zoom link for the activity will be sent only to registered participants.

Jazzahead! 2022
Preparations were well underway. Canada was to be the first non-European country to be featured at the 2020 edition of Jazzahead, as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair. And then the pandemic... and the many postponements and cancellations.
In collaboration with the Canada Council for the Arts, the Canadian partners have accepted Jazzahead's invitation to return in 2022.
As a partner country, Canada will have an increased presence at Jazzahead. An evening dedicated to Canadian jazz artists will feature the eight showcases selected in 2020 by an international jury.

Jazzahead is a market for jazz music professionals in Europe and around the world. It takes place every year at the end of April in Bremen, Germany.
It has a festival component, open to the public, and a market component, which includes an exhibition hall, conferences, showcases and several networking activities.
For 2022, the event will be presented in a hybrid format, i.e. with a trade fair, showcases and networking in person, and content also presented virtually.
In 2019, the last face-to-face edition, 3408 professionals attended the market. Including the festival component, 25,000 people attended the concerts and activities.
