Opportunity is Knocking: Showcasing Opportunity at CMJ Music Marathon!
CMJ Music Marathon is one of the most important platforms for the discovery of new music. Since its inception in 1981, CMJ has been a springboard for the best new music talent from all over the world, discovering music's future superstars years before their commercial breakthroughs.
Over five days and nights (October 21-25), the CMJ Music Marathon will feature 1,300+ artists performing in over 80 of New York City's greatest venues.
2014 marks CIMA's 8th year participating in CMJ through Canadian Blast. CIMA is soliciting submissions for the 2014 Canadian Blast showcase at CMJ - exact venue and date to be determined. This year's line-up will draw from the full spectrum of musical styles and Canadian regions to showcase the best in indie music in 2014.
We will be accepting submissions until Friday August 15, 2014 and screening for admissibility (see criteria here). The CIMA Talent Committee will review the submissions and make recommendations for the 2014 lineup.
