    Effective September 13, CMPA has announced that Vincent Degiorgio will take over from Jodie Ferneyhough as new President. Ferneyhough will remain on the board as CMPA Vice President.

    Bray & Partners Communications is spotlighting musicians from CIMA member companies on FM 106.5 in Toronto and FM 106.3 in Vancouver this fall. The "CIMA Independent Artist of the Week" profile will include a title intro, a brief story about the artist, and airplay for the featured song.

    10 posters artists have been announced for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize. Each artist creates a limited edition silk-screen poster for an album on the 2016 Short List. The Polaris Music Prize Gala will be held on Monday, September 19 at The Carlu in Toronto.

  • Pacifico Named as CEO of UK’s Independent Music Association

    Paul Pacifico of Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) has been appointed new CEO of the UK independent music trade association, AIM. He follows Alison Wenham, who left AIM after 17 years to head the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) in May of 2016.
