Key Ontario Music Fund Dates: Music Company Development and Music Futures Streams

Fresh off releasing the Ontario Music Fund (OMF) key dates for Year 3, the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) has just announced some additional information that’s of interest for applicants in the Music Company Development and Music Futures streams.

Here’s what you need to know:

 

Music Company Development Stream

Application Deadline: May 7, 2015 by 5:00pm.

Description: The Music Company Development stream of the Ontario Music Fund is intended to provide Ontario-based music companies with funding to support new or expanded business activities, including strategic business and market development, in the form of investments and undertakings. Please note that this is a competitive process with the number and amount of awards contingent on total demand for funding and the program funds available.

They’re holding two information sessions (including one webinar), and interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. To do so, please complete the online registration form by 5:00pm on the day prior to the Information Session. Unregistered guests can only be accepted if space permits.

Music Futures Stream

Application deadline:  May 14, 2015 b 5:00pm

Description: The Music Futures stream of the Ontario Music Fund is aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and providing support to develop Ontario’s diverse and emerging music industry, including artist entrepreneurs which have the potential to grow professionally if provided with business mentoring, skills development and working capital to expand their recording, touring or A&R (artist and repertoire) capacity. Please note that this is a competitive process with the number and amount of awards contingent on total demand for funding and the program funds available.
