CIMA welcomes Lisa Fiorilli as Research and Communications Coordinator

CIMA would like to welcome Lisa Fiorilli to the team, as our new Research and Communications Coordinator.

Lisa Fiorilli is looking forward to supporting CIMA’s advocacy efforts through research and policy development – so we can best represent members to government decision makers – and of course communicating with the industry through our weekly e-newsletter and social media.

An avid music fan, Lisa jumped at the opportunity to use her Master’s degree in public policy to the benefit of the Canadian independent music industry. Though a newcomer to the industry, Lisa looks forward to contributing the CIMA’s already very strong advocacy efforts and is excited to immerse herself in this new environment. Prior to joining CIMA, Lisa was the Member Services Coordinator at The Hanen Centre (a membership association representing speech-language pathologists), where she gained significant communications experience. She is excited to combine her two favourite things: music and public policy!

“I’m excited to jump right in and start working away at representing the interests of CIMA’s members. Canada’s independent scene is a huge part of what makes Canada great, so I’m excited to get to work at furthering its interests,” says Lisa.

She looks forward to talking music (or hockey) with you anytime, and looks forward to getting to know you and your stories as part of the Canadian independent music scene! Feel free to drop her a line at 416-485-3152 extension 223 or by email at
