On Tuesday, September 27, independent publishing and rights management company ole announced Chris Giansante’s promotion to Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration. In this newly created position, Giansante will oversee and set the strategic direction and accountability framework for the combined global Finance and Administration teams. He will report to ole CEO and Chairman Robert Ott.

Founded in 2004, ole has operations in Toronto, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles and London, and is engaged in IP acquisitions, creative development, and worldwide rights management. Its catalog includes over 55,000 songs and 60,000 hours of TV and film music across all genres, including copyrights for artists such as Beyoncé, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Jay Z, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Rush and Timbaland.

Prior to ole, Giansante served in an analyst capacity at RBC Capital Markets, and with firms in the automotive and environmental technologies sectors. In 2010, he was hired as ole’s Financial Analyst in the company’s Acquisitions department, earning a promotion to Senior Analyst in 2013. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and MBA both from the University of Windsor, Giansante is also a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario as a CPA, CMA.

Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration, Giansante will oversee strategy for IT assets associated with ole’s Finance & Administration and Conductor, the company’s proprietary data analytics and BI system. Conductor is a powerful, data conforming and analytics tool that brings intelligence to the management of ole and client IP in every IP vertical. The tool has evolved recently to enable complex data partnerships with third parties.

Since joining ole in 2010, Giansante has held roles in its Acquisitions department, working on several important transactions including the Acquisition of Sony Pictures’ assets. He most recently served as VP Administration, focusing on modernization of ole’s publishing and rights management operations.
