Canadian Music Week Announces 2016 Dates



Mark your calendars – the 34th edition of Canadian Music Week will be taking over on May 4-14, 2016, with Canada’s largest new music festival and conference will bring conferences, awards, film, comedy and music taking to the streets of Toronto.

For 2016, the International Spotlight will be on the United Kingdom, with a special focus on Ireland. CAAMA and CMW will be hosting labels, booking agents, festival organizers, promoters, talent buyers and industry specialists from the entertainment sectors in order to open new trade opportunities in these two European markets.

The organizers will also be making a change to scheduling, with the industry conference, held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, moving to the beginning of the festival for the first time. The Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards will be moving to Thursday, May 5 and the Canadian Radio Music Awards luncheon will take place on Friday, May 6 followed by CHUM Fan Fest. The weekend will be capped with the Sirius XM Indie Awards on Saturday, May 7 2015.
