Call For Nominations: The 2014 Canadian Arts And Business Awards

Business For The Arts is now accepting nominations for both companies and individuals for the 2014 Canadian Arts and Business Awards.

Here are the 2014 award categories and deadlines:

 

Edmund C. Bovey Award

Awarded to a business professional who has demonstrated a lifetime of significant philanthropy or leadership in arts and culture in Canada. The winner receives an award sculpture as well as $20,000 to direct from the Bovey Award fund to the arts organization(s) of their choice. Nomination deadline: Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 5pm ET.

 

Arnold Edinborough Award
Awarded to a young business professional age 40 and under who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and volunteerism in the arts. The winner receives an original work of art and a cash prize of $5,000 to be directed to the arts organization(s) of their choice. Nomination deadline: Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 5pm ET.

 

Corporate Champion of the Arts Award
Awarded to a business that has strengthened arts and culture in Canada through its long-standing support of and commitment to the sector. The winner receives $5,000 to be directed to the arts organization(s) of their choice. Nomination deadline: Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5pm ET.

 

Cultural Champion Award – Corporate Leadership
Awarded to a business individual who has shown exceptional leadership by guiding the strategy of corporate giving and leveraging company resources in support of arts and culture. The winner receives $5,000 to be directed to the arts organization(s) of their choice. Nomination deadline: Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5pm ET.

 

Cultural Champion Award – Arts Leadership
Awarded to an arts individual who has shown exceptional leadership by engaging the business community in support of arts and culture. The winner receives $5,000 to be directed to the arts organization(s) of their choice. Nomination deadline: Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5pm ET.

 

Community Impact Award
Awarded to an arts and business partnership that has enhanced the quality of life and enriched the cultural scene in their community through innovative program(s), creative business partnerships or neighbourhood revitalization initiatives. The winner receives $5,000 to be put toward the partnership. Nomination deadline: Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5pm ET.
